Galaxy Note 3 - How do I move Applications to a Memory Card?

Last Update date : 2014.09.25

Move Applications

IMPORTANT: The ability to move applications to the SD™ card is not supported by all apps. In those instances, the Move to SD card option will be unavailable. The example below shows an app with Move to SD card unavailable and grayed out:

You can save room on your device by moving Android™ applications to your microSD™ card; from the Home screen, touch Menu 1 > Settings 2 > General 3 > Application manager1. Swipe from the right to the left to access the SD CARD screen. A green check mark indicates the application has been moved to the memory card. Touch an app and select Move to SD card, or if the app is already on the memory card, select Move to device storage.

Move Using Task Manager

You can also move applications using the Task manager by pressing and holding the Home1 key for one to two seconds, and then touching Task manager1. Touch the Downloaded tab, and touch the app you want to move. Touch Move to SD card to move the app to the memory card.
