Galaxy Note II - Can I Use a Music File as a Ringtone?

Galaxy Note® II - MP3 Ringtone

Your device can add a music file, such as an MP3, as a ringtone.

To set the music file as a ringtone, from the Home screen, touch Menu a > Settings s > My device dd > Sound ss . Touch Ringtones, and then touch Add at the bottom of the screen. Double-touch Sound picker, and locate the music file you wish to use. Touch Done to set the ringtone.

Assign a Personal Ringtone

To assign a personal ringtone to a contact on your mobile device, open the desired contact and touch Default under Ringtone. You can select one of the preloaded ringtones by touching it in the list, or add a personal ringtone from the sounds stored on your device by touching Add. Quickly double-touch Sound picker, and locate the music file you wish to use. Touch Done.

NOTE: Touch the filename to preview the music file, and touch it again to pause.
