Best Photo, Best Face, and Beauty

Your device supports photo shooting modes called Best photo, Best face, and Beauty, which help you capture better photos.

Best Photo

The Best photo mode captures eight photos and selects the best one. To turn the Best photo feature on, with the Camera application open, touch Settings 1 > Shooting mode > Best photo.

You may see a message letting you know that best photos will be stored on your device's internal memory; touch OK. Aim your device at the scene or subject, and touch the screen to focus on a specific area of the scene. When the focal point turns green, touch and hold the camera shutter 2 button. Your device will capture eight photos in quick succession. You will be taken to a review screen and shown the best photo first. Swipe left or right to scroll through the additional photos. Touch and hold a thumbnail to add a shot to the Best photo list. Selected photos will appear with 3 . When you have marked all of the best shots, touch Save to keep those photos and discard the rest.

NOTE: Best photos will continue to be saved to your device's internal memory even if you have installed an optional microSD™ card and have set the camera to use the microSD card for storage.

Best Face

The Best face mode lets you capture five images and select the best face for each of the subjects from the photos. To turn the Best face feature on, with the Camera application open, touch Settings 4 > Shooting mode > Best face.

Aim your device at the subject, and touch the screen to focus on a specific area. When the focal point turns green, touch and hold the camera shutter 5 button. You will be shown the review screen, and each of the recognized faces will be shown with a box around it. Touch each box to select the best face for the subject from one of the five photos. The photos with the best face will appear with 6 . When you are satisfied with the photo, touch Save to combine the selected faces into one photo and save the photo to your Gallery.

Beauty

The Beauty mode captures a portrait and adjusts the photo to create a more visually pleasing photo. To turn the Beauty feature on, with the Camera application open, touch Settings 7 > Shooting mode > Beauty.

Aim your device at the subject, and touch the screen to focus on a specific area. When the focal point turns green, touch and hold the camera shutter 8 button. Your device will capture the photo and make the necessary adjustments.
