Kies - How do I manage my call logs with Kies Air?

Call Logs


You can manage the call history stored on your device using Kies Air. View your call history, add new contacts, or send messages.

From a Computer


Open logs by clicking Call Logs in the left navigation panel.

Call History

List your call history by clicking 1 at the top of the window. Choose to sort your call history by All, Incoming call, Outgoing call, or Missed.

The following icons show the status of calls in your call history:

1 Incoming call: Indicates an answered incoming call.
1 Outgoing Call: Indicates an Outgoing call.
1 Missed Call: Indicates a missed incoming call.


Add Contact

Add new contacts by clicking Add contact under the phone number in the call log.

The following default options are available when creating a contact:

Save contact to: Select to save this contact to your phone or to an account on your device.

Contact photo: This picture will be shown when you receive an incoming call from the contact and during interactions with certain applications, for example, a chat application that interacts with your contacts list.

• Contact name options are Name prefix, First name, Middle name, Last name, and Name suffix. Click 1 next to the Name field to display all name fields.

Phone: This field has several label options. Choose from Mobile, Home, or Work. Click 1 to show more phone number fields.

Email: Assign an email address to the contact. Click 1 to show more email fields.

Address: Enter the contact's address information.

Company: Add the contact's company name information.

Job Title: Add the contact's job title information.

Nickname: Add a nickname for the contact. The nickname is not displayed when calls are made to or received from the contact.

Click Save to save the new contact.


Message

Click Message under the contact name or number in your call log to create a new text message.

    1. Click 1 to add more recipients to this message.

    2. Enter a message in the message box.

    3. Click Save in Drafts to save the message as a draft, click Send to send the message, or click Cancel to cancel the message.

 

From a Samsung Mobile Device


NOTE: Mobile view available only with Samsung mobile devices.

Open logs by touching Logs 1 in the main navigation panel.

Call History

List your call history by touching 1 at the top of the screen. Choose to sort your call history by All, Incoming call, Outgoing call, or Missed.

Touch Message under the contact name or number in your call log to create a new text message.

    1. Touch 1 to add more recipients to this message.

    2. Enter a message in the message box.

    3. Touch Send to send the message, or touch Cancel to cancel the message.
