Front View



Application Icons: Allows shortcuts to your favorite applications on the Home screen.

Back: Allows you to step backward when navigating a menu or webpage.


Earpiece - Allows you to hear the caller.


Favorites Tray - Allows quick access to important features such as Phone, Contacts, Messages, Internet, and Applications.

Front-facing Camera - Lets you take photos of yourself.

Home Key - Allows you to return to the main Home screen from any Home screen or menu. Press and hold to display your recently used applications and a shortcut to the Task Manager.

Home Screen Indicator - Shows which Home Screen is displayed.

Indicator Icons - Show the information needed to operate your device, such as the received signal strength, battery level, unread emails, missed calls, and time.

LED Indicator - Displays red when charging, green when fully charged, and blue when you have a waiting notification.



Proximity and Gesture Sensors - Detect how close an object is to the screen. Also detect Air View™ and Air Gestures™ motions.

Menu - Allows access to submenus with additional options for different features and applications such as Home screen, Phone, Contacts, Messages, and Internet. Touch and hold to open S Finder.


Widget - Widgets can be added for various functions. Widgets provide quick access to information without opening an application first.

Rear View



3.5mm Headset Jack - Allows you to connect compatible headphones.


Camera Lens: Lets you take photos and shoot videos.


LED Flash: Provides adequate light when taking photos.

Power/Accessory Interface Connector - Lets you connect a travel charger or other optional accessories, such as a USB/data cable.

S Pen™ - A stylus that assists you in performing different function.

Side View



External Speaker - Allows you to hear when the speakerphone is turned on.


IR Transmitter - Allows you to use your device as an IR (infrared) remote control with the WatchON™ application.

Power/Lock Key - Lets you turn your device on and off. Also allows you to lock or unlock the touchscreen.

Primary Microphone - Allows other callers to hear you when you are speaking to them.

Volume Keys - Allow you to adjust the ringer volume while in standby mode or adjust the voice volume during a call. When receiving an incoming call, briefly press either volume key to mute the ringtone.
