Last Update date : 2014.11.25

Photo Beam

Photo beam allows you to send photos from your Galaxy Camera to a smartphone just by touching them together. It's a simple way to share photos with your phone or friends.

Using Photo Beam

Getting Started

• Verify that your Smartphone is NFC-capable

• Enable NFC in your Smartphone settings

• Download and install the "Samsung SMART CAMERA App" from Samsung Apps, the Google Play Store, or the iTunes App Store

NOTE: Some smartphones are able to bring up the Samsung Smart Camera App automatically when tapping the phone to the NFC logo on the side of the camera for the first time. For smartphone models that do not support this, simply search for "Samsung SMART CAMERA App" in Samsung Apps, the Google Play Store, or the iTunes App Store.

To transfer a photo with Photo Beam follow the steps below:

1. On your Samsung GALAXY Camera 2, tap on the Camera app.

2. Snap a photo.

3. In the lower right-hand corner tap the icon of the photo you just took.

4. Tap your smartphone to the NFC tag on the side of your camera and hold it there for 2-3 seconds.

5. The phone opens the Samsung SMART CAMERA app, and then the photo transfer begins.
