Front View



Application Icons - Show shortcuts to your favorite applications on the Home screen.


Back - Lets you step backward when navigating a menu or webpage.


Earpiece - Lets you hear the caller.


Favorites Tray - Lets you quickly access important features such as Phone, Contacts, Messages, Internet, and Apps.


Front-facing Camera - Lets you take photos of yourself.


Home Key/Fingerprint Scanner - Lets you return to the main Home screen from any Home screen or menu. The key is also the fingerprint scanner when using fingerprint features like Fingerprint lock.

Home Screen Indicator - Shows which Home screen is displayed.



Indicator Icons - Show the information needed to operate your device, such as the received signal strength, battery level, unread emails, missed calls, and time.

LED Indicator - Displays red when charging, green when fully charged, and blue when you have a waiting notification.


Proximity and Gesture Sensors - Detect how close an object is to the screen. Also detect Air View™ motions.

Quick Search Key - Allows you to search the device for applications, contact information, or searches the internet for information.

Recent Apps - View and access recently used applications. Touch and hold to view more options for the page you are viewing.


Widget - Provides Quick access to information without requiring you to open an application first.

Rear View



3.5mm Headset Jack - Lets you connect compatible headphones.


External Speaker - Lets you hear music and audio, or calls when the speakerphone is turned on.


Heart Rate Monitor Sensor - Uses your fingertip to measure heart rate in the S Health™ application.




Camera Lens - Lets you take photos and shoot videos.


LED Flash - Provides addtional light when taking photos.


Power/Accessory Interface Connector - Lets you connect a travel charger or other optional accessories, such as a USB/data cable.

Side View



Primary Microphone - The primary microphone lets you record audio, and it allows other callers to hear you when you are speaking to them.

Power/Lock Key - Lets you turn your device on and off. Also lets you turn the touchscreen on and off.


Volume Keys - Let you adjust the ringer volume while in standby mode or adjust the voice volume during a call. When receiving an incoming call, briefly press either volume key to mute the ringtone.
