Samsung account

A Samsung account is required to access number of Samsung services on the device, and also provides additional backup and synchronization options.

Important: Connecting your mobile device to a Samsung account is very important because it adds an extra layer of security to your tablet. Using your Samsung account from another device allows you to locate your mobile device, unlock it or wipe the data remotely. To do so, you will need to enter your ID and your password. Don't forget them: write them down or saved them on a document on your computer, if required.

Note: Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Adding an existing Samsung account

1. From the Home screen, touch Apps .

2. Touch Settings .

3. Scroll to and touch Accounts .

4. Touch Add account.

5. Touch Samsung account.



6. Enter the login information for the Samsung account (ID and Password), then touch SIGN IN.



7. Your Samsung account is now set up.

Adding a new Samsung account

1. From the Home screen, touch Apps .

2. Touch Settings .

3. Scroll to and touch Accounts .

4. Touch Add account.

5. Touch Samsung account.



6. Touch CREATE ACCOUNT.



7. Enter your ID (an email address), password, first name, last name, zipcode and birthday. Then touch NEXT.



8. Touch AGREE to accept to the terms and conditions, terms of the service and Samsung privacy policy.



9. If you use an email account (step 7) that is actually connected to your mobile device, touch CONFIRM and your new Samsung account will be set up.



Note: If you use an email account that is not yet connected to your mobile device, you will be asked to verify your account. First, touch VERIFY ACCOUNT. Then, you will be asked to login to the account you use as your Samsung ID (step 7) to verify your account. Enter your email address and your password and touch NEXT or ENTER. Once your email account has been verified, touch CONFIRM.
