Galaxy Tab S3 - How do I use the multi window view (or split screen view) on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 (SM-T820)?

Split screen view


Multi window lets you run two apps at the same time in the split screen view. You can switch between the apps, adjust the size of the display on the screen, and copy information from one app to the other.

Note: The provided information refers to the devices sold in Canada. Screens and settings available may vary depending on your Canadian wireless service provider and your software version.

Using Multi Window


1. To access the Recent apps page, touch the Recent key.

2. To launch an app in split screen view, touch the Multi window icon on the title bar.

Note: Not all apps support split screen view. Only the apps supporting that special mode will display the Multi window icon.

3. To open another app on a split screen, touch the second app in the lower panel. Swipe down to go through all the app recently opened on your device. You can also access other aps by touching MORE APPS.

4. Select a second app in the lower panel. Swipe up to access all available apps.

Exiting Multi Window View - Method #1


1. To exit Multi Window, touch the Window controls icon.

1. Press the Home key to return to the Home screen.

2. To open the notifications panel, swipe down from the top of the screen.
