Ice Maker Kit

Installing the Ice Maker Kit is optional. To purchase a new auto ice maker (part type: RA-TIMO63PP/AA), visit the website of our official partner, Samsung Canada Parts.

Note: The provided information refers to refrigerators sold in Canada. The available settings and options may differ for devices sold in other countries.

Install the Ice Maker Kit

Note: To prevent electrical shock, make sure the refrigerator is turned off before installing the ice maker.

1. Locate the cover and then remove the screws (x2) from the cover.

Refrigerator 1

2. Remove the cover.

Refrigerator 2

3. Insert the grommet pipe fully into the water line as shown. Make sure the grommet pipe is tightened in the correct orientation to prevent a water leak.

Refrigerator 3

Note: The grommet pipe fits in only one direction. Check the hole shape of the water line before inserting the grommet pipe and make sure the pipe is fully inserted.

4. Connect the wire connector of the ice maker to the socket on the main unit. Make sure the connector is fully inserted to prevent system failure.

Refrigerator 4

5. Put the ice maker onto the specified area of the main unit. Make sure both the front and rear sides of the ice maker are secure to prevent deviation of the ice maker.

Refrigerator 5

6. Tighten the provided screws (x2) to attach the ice maker firmly to the refrigerator.

Refrigerator 6

7. Put the ice bucket on the shelf as shown. By design, the ice bucket is supposed to sit behind the ice maker. Otherwise, the ice cubes from the ice maker will not collect in the bucket as intended.

Refrigerator 7

8. When the installation is complete, turn the refrigerator on, and then press Test Switch (A) on the ice maker to check if the ice maker operates and supplies water for the ice tray normally.

Note: The first time you use the ice maker, or after you have replaced the water filter, the ice made by the ice maker may have a carbon residue. If this happens, discard the first full load of ice. Note that the carbon residue is harmless to humans.
