Gear Sport - How do I set up and use SOS mode on my Samsung Gear Sport (SM-R600)?

It never hurts to be prepared in the event of an emergency. Hopefully, you'll never find yourself in a real crisis, but if you do, SOS mode helps make sure someone comes to your rescue. Learn how to set up SOS mode to let your emergency contacts know where you are and how to track you down.

Note: Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version. The Samsung Gear app must be downloaded on the mobile device.

Send SOS Request


Note: It’s better to be safe than sorry. In case you ever need emergency assistance, set up SOS mode and help will be on the way.

1. To set up SOS mode, navigate to Samsung Gear > SETTINGS > Send SOS requests. Touch the slider to turn on SOS requests.

2. Add your emergency contacts to be alerted with your SOS message by touching Send SOS messages to, and then continue to add a contact.

3. Press the Home key quickly 3 times to send SOS requests in an emergency. Your emergency contacts will receive SOS messages containing information about your current location and how to track you for up to 1 hour.
