Dryer Time Changes Significantly on Sensor Dry Cycles

Last Update date : 2015.10.13

If you dryer time is changing significantly, please check the following:

  • Are there clothes in the dryer? If you have selected a sensor dry cycle and there are no clothes in the dryer, the dryer will sense that there is no humidity in the dryer, and reduce the time to 5 minutes, and then turn off.
  • Check the load size, if you have a few light objects such as a couple of t shirts, the dryer will start out at a pre determined time, and then adjust to an estimated drying time based on the humidity level the dryer senses.
  • Is the dryer overloaded? If you have many heavy items, the dryer will add time to the initial time displayed to compensate for the higher humidity levels it senses.

Important: If you are doing a normal sensor dry load and the time changes significantly, and the clothes are coming out not dry, your dryer will require service. Please click here to initiate the service process.
