What is SÉCAM

Last Update date : 2012.03.08

SÉCAM or Séquentiel couleur avec mémoire which is French for "sequential color with memory" is an analog color television system first used in France. There are many countries that use SÉCAM, but it is not the standard in Canada.  In North America we use NTSC; therefore, Samsung Canada products are designed for this standard. In order to play other formats you will need a multi-region product.
