Using your Samsung Product Outside of Canada.

Using your Samsung Product Outside of Canada.

Last Update Date : May 16. 2018
Most Samsung video products designed for use in the U.S. and Canada use a broadcast system called NTSC. The NTSC system is primarily used in North America and Japan. Most other countries, including all European countries, use different systems (PAL or SECAM, for example), which are not compatible with NTSC. So, most Samsung products designed for use in the N.A will not work outside the U.S. or Canada.

With that said, there are some exceptions. These include Samsung's Worldwide VCR's, and some camcorders which are capable of converting their output to the PAL system. To use these products outside the North America, you need a voltage converter to run them off a wall socket. You can get voltage converters at The Source and similar stores.

Note: Countries that use NTSC may have voltage standards that differ from the U.S. and Canada. Before you use your Samsung device in a country outside North America., make sure that the voltage in that country is compatible with your device. If it is not, you will need to buy a voltage converter to run your Samsung device off a wall socket in that country.
