Home Appliance Service Manager (C33000035) - Service Department

Position Summary:

Incumbent will be responsible for a full range of duties related to office administration and maintenance for the office located at Mississauga (ON).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned. In this position, either directly or through others, the incumbent will be responsible for:

    • Orders and controls the approved distribution of Cellular phones, and related carrier services. Trains employees on usability, features, mobile email set-up and maintenance. Creates approvals in the system for mobile email for new employees.
    • Responsible for pass card maintenance, including activating, modifying and canceling cards for associates and visitors.
    • Maintains the gas card fleet, verifies usage, activates and cancels cards.
    • Creates and modifies name plates, email signature and telephone directories for associates.
    • Verifies equipment in lunch room, mailroom and kitchens and monitors the repair or maintenance.
    • Ships and receives mail and couriers for HR Department.
    • Responsible for janitorial services including receiving of service calls for maintenance and forwards them to maintenance department, ordering janitorial supplies, communication with cleaners on different misc requirements.
    • Monitor employee purchases in the system to be compliant with current polices for Product Purchase Program.
    • Office services duties include the distribution of office supplies, organize storage rooms, refresh meeting rooms, executive car maintenance, setting up workstations for new employees.
    • Perform miscellaneous office duties assigned by Senior Management.

Background / Experience to qualify for this position, the following minimal background and skill levels are required:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics & Computer Engineering or a related field from a college or university.
    • Have 5+ years office administration experience with responsibility for the full range of facilities, security functions; administration activities.
    • Must have Microsoft Office Suite of PC software applications experience with Excel spreadsheet and PowerPoint preparation skills.

    • Ability to read, interpret and act on proper understanding of facilities.
    • Ability to communicate in writing, through email, reports, or orally administrative, safety and security matters to an audience that may include less technically oriented and trained listeners.
    • Ability to lead and direct the activities of staff members in order to achieve personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications. The ability to develop tasks, work assignments, clearly define objectives and give technical direction with applied knowledge of alternatives and decision making experience to guide subordinates.

Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions: The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:

    • Work is generally performed in an office environment.
    • Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal more than 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time.
    • Requires considerable (90%+) work utilizing moderately high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character/color distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity.
    • The movement and transportation of equipment may be in excess of 50 pounds.
    • Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical and including: time sensitive job stress, fatigue, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and project management Stress.
    • Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids includes PC’s, printers, copiers, faxes, scanner, dollies, forklifts and other equipment commonly associated with electronic product test laboratory, warehouse, and repair work areas.
    • Under limited supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply SECA general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored, consequences of decisions may adversely affect operating results and management decisions. Position has limited access to confidential company data where disclosure may jeopardize the company’s competitive position.
