Dear all,

SAMSUNG Electronics strives to implement our corporate philosophy, ‘social contribution through the best products and services’, even in the dynamically changing management environment. We do our best not only to make distinguished management accomplishments but also to take the responsibility and the role in environmental and social activities. We make an effort to move forward with love and concern from our customers and stockholders.

As part of this effort, we issue this environmental & social report that includes achievements such as Economic and social accomplishments added comprehensively to the ‘Green management Report,’ which issued the company’s environment management performance. We’re very pleased to provide this extensive context to those who adore our company.

The vision of SAMSUNG Electronics is “Leading the Digital Convergence Revolution” to make customers feel pleasant and comfortable. With this vision, we will put all our efforts to be in the top 3 of the worldwide electronics industry, quality- and quantity-wise, by 2010. We will continue to propel the management innovation, sustaining the best competitiveness, together with「 the seeding」to prepare for the future.

Meanwhile, in environmental side, we will acknowledge the Green Management as our core value and will continuously achieve environmental marks on more of our products. Furthermore through this, we will work to preserve the global environment as well as to make consumers feel comfortable and safe.

In 1992, SAMSUNG Electronics launched the ‘Environment Policy’ in order to build an environment management system. In 1996, we declared the ‘Green Management’ as a determination to participate in the preservation of global environment. Adhering firmly to our management ethics, we will continue to sincerely keep safe and pleasant production base environment, and to develop environment-friendly product and service. SAMSUNG Electronics’ management principle declared in 2005 will be the basis of our philosophy, and all our employees will live up to it and try to get customer’s love and respect. Our company will fully support various training programs, fare reward, welfare and other benefits for employees’ self-development, and make fair, corruption-free, and transparent corporate culture.

Today, SAMSUNG Electronics is already a world-class company, but we will not settle for current status but strive further to leap into a world-leading company.
