In continuing our series of videos on how to use your Samsung Smart TV, we’re happy to show off the main attraction of navigation known as the Smart Hub. In this video, gadget guru John Gaudiosi explains the different options you can access from the Smart Hub menu.
With Internet TV, it’s easy to browse the web and access content from around the globe. But Samsung Smart TV goes a step further and puts you in control of some amazing features that aren’t available for Internet TV. Plus, you can access all the best Samsung Smart TV features from a single menu called the Smart Hub. The Smart Hub is your portal to your favorite content, but there’s so much more you can do just by pressing a few buttons.
Let’s take a look at what Smart Hub has to offer. To get started, simply press the Smart Hub button on your remote. Looking for some media? The Search All function delivers search results from a variety of sources, such as your video subscription services, any AllShare connected devices like your Samsung Galaxy Tab, Samsung App TV, and even the web. In short, Search All searches everywhere to help you find what you’re looking for. When you first enter the Smart Hub menu, you’ll notice great recommendations for movies you might like.
Select “Your Video” by highlighting the window and press enter on your remote. Your Video makes finding your next favorite movie a snap. Not only that, but Your Video makes sorting your existing favorites easy, too. In Samsung App TV, you’ll find that you can easily browse new and recommended apps right from the Smart Hub. Not only that, but you can also display your favorite apps right where you want them. Smart Hub will also recommend new apps to try just for you. With all these features, plus others like Social TV and a customizable menu, Samsung Smart TV already makes strides beyond what Internet TV can do. But don’t worry— you can still access the Internet right from your TV, too.
With an improved, more robust web browser, the browsing experience is more like the home PC Internet you’re used to. But now you can easily search, read, and get social on the web, all from the comfort of your couch. The browser has a picture in picture feature, so you won’t miss a minute of your favorite show. And if you want to watch flash enabled video on your screen, you can access it straight from the browser. No plug-ins necessary.
The Smart Hub menu takes all the great features of your Samsung Smart TV and makes them readily available on one screen. It’s as easy to use as a smartphone, and with new features available all the time, the sky’s the limit.
