As part of the Exynos Hack Pack, an opportunity for tech bloggers to review the latest Exynos-powered devices, ARM®'s Jeff Chu gave us his opinion of the Exynos 5 Dual-powered Google Nexus 10 tablet. Written in the context of full PC functionality, Jeff's review uses a refreshingly different approach than other Google Nexus 10 reviews and includes a number of unique trials and tests.

Jeff Chu went in to his review of the Google Nexus 10 with the goal of seeing if the tablet could do everything he was accustomed to doing on his home PC. After running through the general specs of the tablet, such as the ARM® Cortex™-A15 based Exynos 5 Dual processor and WQXGA display resolution; he switched focus to more hands-on assessments.

Jeff loaded up popular apps and content; such as the Kindle app, Angry Birds, Asphault 7 and Quickoffice® Pro HD, among others; and used them to test the ease and quality of content consumption on the Google Nexus 10. He found that the Exynos-powered tablet excelled in this area, noting the vibrancy and clarity of the display, the immersive and "flawless" gaming experience, fast web-browsing and extended battery life. The review also examined PC functionality for content creation, using Magisto, Movie Studio and Andromedia to test out video editing performance. Jeff came to the conclusion that the Google Nexus 10 is capable of many of the same functions as a PC and that, with the advent of new processors like the Exynos 5 Dual and beyond, full PC functionality on mobile devices is on the horizon.

Past Exynos Hack Pack reviewers include Android Authority's Darcy LaCouvee on the Galaxy Note 10.1, Phone Dog's Taylor Martin on the Galaxy Note II, Phone Scoop's Eric Zeman on the Galaxy Note II and ARM®'s James Bruce, also on the Galaxy Note II.
