Time/Location : Wed., May 15 11-11:45AM Mission City Ballroom
Presentation abstract :In today's always-on global marketplace, ever-increasing data traffic and the rise of cloud computing are having a profound impact on business transformation initiatives, Big Data ecosystems, VDI and high density server storage. We will explore how green memory is helping IT decision-makers to replace legacy and underutilized data center assets with low-power, high performance solutions. In addition, we will examine the impact of green DRAM and SSDs on IT networks, and how the total cost of ownership provides a win-win for networks and the environment in an always-on, always-connected business world. The total cost of ownership can be significantly lowered by replacing underutilized, power hungry, space-limiting, and low-performing servers. We will examine how these factors clearly affect the overall return on investment.
