Flash Memory Summit Visit
Flash Memory Summit is the world's premier conference for non-volatile memory technologies. It covers the $25 billion-dollar flash market, the $7 billion-dollar rapidly growing SSD market, and the emerging market for new technologies. The 2013 conference and exposition will focus on all-flash arrays, enterprise SSDs, mobile applications, PCIe-based systems (including NVMe), and application acceleration.
Press Release : Aug.6, 2013 - Samsung Starts Mass Producing Industry's First 3D Vertical NAND Flash
Samsung Keynote SessionUshering in the 3D Memory Era with Vertical NAND
Description: In this presentation, Samsung will discuss a major breakthrough in overcoming the NAND flash scaling limit. We will explain how we have achieved this breakthrough as well as examine why such a major shift in Flash manufacturing is critical to consumer electronics and enterprise applications. The world's first three-dimensional (3D) Vertical NAND flash memory represents a cost-effective way to provide over twice the scaling of 20nm-class* planar NAND flash with 2X-10X the reliability. The vertical 3D NAND will allow for new levels of innovation in circuits, structure, material and the manufacturing process, and scale up to 1Tb and beyond per individual NAND chip.
