OneDRAM™

imagine who else you'll leave behind

OneDRAM is a fusion memory chip that, can significantly increase the data processing speed between a communications processor and a media processor in mobile devices. Where there are two processors, two memory buffers are typically required. However, a OneDRAM solution can eliminate the need for two memory buffers because it can route data between the processors via a single chip.
By taking a dual-port approach, OneDRAM sharply decreases the time it takes to transfer data between processors. A single OneDRAM module can replace at least two mobile memory chips in high-end smart phones and other multimedia-rich handsets. OneDRAM along with the faster data processing speeds between processors, reduces power consumption by 30 percent, lessens the number of chips needed, and minimizes the total die area coverage by 50 percent. This results resulting in a five-fold increase in the speed of cellular phone and gaming console operations, longer battery life and slimmer handset designs.

what is OneDRAM?
the OneDRAM concept
  • Supports same internal structure as existing mobile DRAM and interface
  • A fusion memory that can improve system function and make handsets slimmer by supporting separate 2-port movement (own memory space + shared memory space + communications protocol)

advantages of OneDRAM
when OneDRAM is used in the system, memory transfer speed improves by a factor of five.
  • OneDRAM transfers data a hundred times faster than the DPSRAM between CPUs (modem & AP) System performance improves by a factor of five
  • 30% reduction in power consumption is expected
advantages of OneDRAM?
benefits of OneDRAM
improvements in system performance and total cost
  • Overcomes performance limits in 2-CPU solution (4.9 times better)
  • By eliminating needless data transfer, power consumption can be reduced (up to 30%)
  • Eliminates SRAM Interface in the CPU (more than 32 pins) and reduces the number of memory components
