Semiconductor chip design has traditionally been approached through a top-down design and implementation process. However, with increasing design complexity coupled with shrinking design rules, the need for parallel "bottom-up" verification has become increasingly important. By providing a number of key technology files and models, the SAMSUNG Foundry design kits provide the necessary silicon data for closing the verification loop in the design process.
