MPW (Multi Project Wafer)Multiple ICs from different customers and/or projects are combined into one single wafer, and one mask contains the same layer of two or more different circuits. This allows the cost to be shared among several customers as well as the functional validation and process compatibility of a variety of IP blocks.
CAMP (Capacity Available Mask Process)One single mask contains the multiple layers of one project, reducing total mask set.
| CAMP | MPW | |
|---|---|---|
| advantage | Start at anytime Limited MP available (~30 wafers/month) |
Lowest cost Recommended for IP verification |
| disadvantage | Extra PA data added | Schedule limitation |
| mask | Changes mask set when MP is over 30 wafers/month | Changes MP in all cases |

The goal is fast, efficient access to information that reflects each company's needs and agreements.
