The Samsung Evolved Packet Core (EPC) is a vital component in our Long Term Evolution (LTE) end-to-end solution that supports all-IP simplified system architecture. The solution allows for seamless evolution to single-core technology and easy capacity addition to meet the rapid increase in data transfer demand. Our EPC is fully compliant with 3GPP Release 9, to deliver an efficient integrated solution across a common platform for network operators worldwide.


The Samsung EPC solution uses a common platform for core elements including MME/SGSN, S-GW/GGSN and P-GW. It can be flexibly configured in the same hardware platform, either shared or standalone, according to traffic and deployment requirements. The Multicore Packet Processor optimises EPC performance through easy configuration for control and data traffic. This solution supports the entire 3GPP family of network technologies including 2G, 3G and 4G.
