CDMA Core Network satisfies rapidly-growing demand for mobile data transport to any location in the world.
A large-capacity public switching system which incorporates mobility management, MSC interconnects with all major network environments, including PSTN (public switched telephone network), ISDN (the integrated services digital network) and AIN (advanced intelligent network) platforms. Its modular hardware and software architecture enables operators to modify and/or upgrade system functionality easily and to incorporate future technological innovations quickly and cost-effectively.
WSS is a next generation CDMA2000 MSC system that provides Softswitch-based solutions. It is designed to support present circuit switched 2G mobile networks as well as packet switched 3G networks (e.g. 3GPP2 LMSD Step1, Step2) and to enable even migration to IMS networks. It offers exceptional flexibility and reliability, in a cost-effective, easy-to-deploy, small footprint that readily overlays onto the existing infrastructure.
WGW in 3GPP2 LMSD (Legacy MS Domain) supports the bearer gateway function (media conversion and processing) between the IP core network and radio access network. It sends and receives TDM-based PCM data with CDMA2000 V.4/V.5 BSC. It can also have IP interface to IP based BSC. WGW call controls are performed through H.248 (Megaco) or MGCP (Media Gateway Control Protocol) with WSS (Wireless Softswitch).
PDSN is an access gateway between the radio access network and the packet core network establishing, maintaining and terminating Point-to-point Protocol (PPP) links. In addition, PDSN delivers Foreign Agent (FA) functionality to register and facilitate services to roamers. This allows the mobile subscriber to access public data networks such as the Internet or private data networks such as their corporate intranet.
