The Q1-SSD is the first UMPC to use an SSD solid-state disk flash memory in place of a conventional rotational media-based hard drive. It delivers incredibly faster data reading and writing speeds, and is equipped to withstand twice the impact that would cripple a conventional hard disk drive.
