Samsung's latest innovative Plasma TV, the PS63P3H, represents the first 63" Plasma TV commercially available in the market, and is among the strongest additions yet to Samsung's comprehensive family of Plasma displays. Currently, there are only a handful of manufacturers in the market advancing beyond the 50-inch plasma range. Of these, Samsung is the first to bring users the largest ever Plasma TV, the 63'' PS63P3H. The launch has also reinforced Samsung's clear technological leadership in this product range, following closely on its debut of the world's largest Plasma panel last year.
With two built-in TV tuners, the Samsung PS63P3H can receive TV signals directly without the need for additional boxes or video equipment. Powered by the company's innovative proprietary technology, DNIe?, the new Plasma TV presents viewers with the most vivid pictures, whether from TV signals, digital images, or computer or computer game images.
Capitalizing on the cutting-edge technology of Samsung's Plasma display line, the PS63P3H features a third-generation Plasma panel and superb resolution of up to 1366 × 768 pixels. The brightness and contrast ratio are also notably improved, reaching 700cd/m2 and 1000:1 respectively. For ultimate convenience and space-saving purpose, the Plasma TV supports a 160o (vertical / horizontal) viewing angle. With its premier features and dramatic size, the Samsung PS63P3H strikes the perfect balance between compelling display and highest picture quality.
Besides being bigger, the picture is actually better as well, thanks to Samsung's extensive research in DNIe technology, which is further solidifying the company's commanding position in the world market. Samsung's DNIe technology analyzes and optimizes incoming signals through a series of four advanced algorithms including a Motion Optimizer, Contrast Enhancer, Detail Enhancer and Colour Optimizer. DNIe also facilitates improved noise reduction, offering users an unparalleled digital experience.
Finally, the new range also employs a DCDi processing circuit, eliminating jagged images and faithfully reproducing smooth video motion when dealing with the 3-2 Pull-Down cinema progressive scan, giving users smoother and brighter image quality. The new model supports digital multi-media such as high-definition TV (1080i) and has DVI-D input providing greater multi-media choices for users. Sound options include Virtual Dolby sound effects while users can choose from optional standard speakers or 2.1 channel speakers.
Besides the 63-inch model, the newest Samsung Plasma TV is also available in 50- and 42-inch models. The 42-inch model PS42P3S was launched in April, 2003. Please visit: http://www.samsungelectronics.com.hk/tv/plasma/ for details, or contact Samsung Electronics at 2862-6008.
