Samsung today announced the introduction of five new DVD players, incorporating an array of standard to premium features that will surely satisfy the digital entertainment needs of today’s users. The new additions of Samsung DVD player include: the DVD-HD748 with DVI output, the DVD-P348 which is the first Samsung DVD player to adopt 7-In-2 Multi-card Slot, the DVD-P148 and P248K that feature extra slim designs, and the brand new DVD / VCR Combo - DVD-V940zl which is compatible with MPEG 4 format.
Samsung DVD-HD748
The brand new Samsung DVD-HD748 is uniquely featured with DVI Output to transmit digital video signal to televisions or other displays which support digital input. After the digital video signal is decoded and scaled, the DVD player can eliminate the need for DAC processing by transcoding digital video out through DVI. This in turn can guarantee no distortion in the picture quality. Through the DVI interface, the DVD player can also support normal Analog Video Out of 576p and can produce DVD title video signals up to HD level resolution of 720p and with a maximum 1080i output.
Samsung DVD-HD748 is compatible with multi digital A/V formats, including DVD, VCD, SVCD, CD, CD-R/RW, DVD-R/W and DVD+R/W etc. At the same time, Samsung DVD-HD748 can be in association with DVD-Audio, SACD and MP3 playback features. In addition, Samsung DVD-HD748 can also support progressive scan output (PAL / NTSC) which bring superb audio-visual experience to users.
Samsung DVD-P348
Samsung DVD-P348 comes in an extra compact design, with body as thin as 45mm. The player’s biggest unique feature is its 7-In-2 Multi-card Flash Card slot that supports Memory Stick, SD, MMC, Smart Media Card, CF Card, Microdrive and Memory Stick Pro, which are proved highly convenient for users. Samsung DVD-P348 comes with both optical and coaxial interfaces, and also supports progressive scan output (PAL / NTSC). Furthermore, DVD-P348 is compatible with DVD, VCD, SVCD, CD, CD-R/RW, DVD-R/W and DVD+R/W formats as well as supporting the playback function of MP3, WMA and JPEG.
Samsung DVD-P148 and DVD-P248K
The two new DVD player models come with an unparalleled 41mm slim design. The DVD-P148 and P248K are strategically priced to retail at HK$698 and HK$798, which include
various robust features. Similar to DVD-P348, Samsung DVD-P48 and P248K can also support a great variety of digital A/V formats and progressive scan outputs. In addition, Samsung DVD-P248K can provide Karaoke function, together with other features bringing greater audio-visual satisfaction to users.
Samsung DVD-V940K
Samsung DVD-V940K is the new model from the DVD / VCR Combo series. The DVD-V940K is compatible with multi DVD formats and VCR playback, as well as supporting MPEG4. The Samsung DVD-V940K features both optical and coaxial interfaces. It can also support progressive scan output as well as Karaoke features.
The five new DVD players are available at ‘Samsung Digital Zone’ and all major electrical appliance stores in Hong Kong. Customers will enjoy one year warranty including the laser head.
