SAMSUNG Press Foundation, founded in 1995, now ranks as Korea's largest press organization. It has supported 80 journalists and other members of media in 1996, 142 in 1997, and 355 by the first half of 1998. Its current activities include media training, media-related research, and development of the press infrastructure; and it is now looking to extend its support into other areas of Korea's mass media.
