Notebook Computer

The warranty card should be fully completed and returned to Samsung within 14 days commencing from the dale of purchase.

Samsung provides one year free carry-in repair service, including parts and labor for the computer.

If customers want to extend the warranty service, they can:
1. Within 6 months after the purchase date, they can enjoy the carry-in warranty (HK) service in the 2nd and 3rd year at brand shop by paying additional HK$1,000.
2. Within 6 months after the purchase date, they can enjoy the carry-in warranty (China & International) service in the 2nd and 3rd year at brand shop by paying additional HK$1,500.

Samsung accepts goods exchange for more than Five dead pixels found on the panel within seven days from date of purchase.

The warranty covers the battery pack for 6 months only.

Customer must present the original Warranty Card together with original purchase invoice to Samsung's technician for verification when warranty service is rendered. Service fee will be charged if any one of the documents cannot be produced.

Customer is responsible for delivering and collecting the Computer at his/her own cost when carry-in repaired service is requested.

This warranty covers hardware only. Accessories such as connection cables, the CD and the floppy disks are excluded in the warranty.

Samsung does not provide warranty for any preloaded or bundled software. Samsung reserves all rights to make the final judgement on evaluating the malfunction or breakdown of the computer caused from software or hardware.

Samsung is not obligated to re-install preloaded software. Handling fee will be charged for the request of re-installation service.

Replacement parts assume the remaining warranty of the parts they replace.

The warranty service is offered to the computer which has defect caused under normal use, in the judgement of Samsung's technician. The warranty is null and void under the following circumstances:

a) if the computer has been damaged through abuse, misuse, negligence (such as bumping, wetting), fault voltage supply(such as compatible battery), air/water pollution accidents and natural calamities;

b) if the computer, included hardware and preloaded software, has been modified, altered and/or repaired by persons other than Samsung or Samsung's authorized service centers:

c) if the serial number has been altered, effaced or removed;

The defective part should go with the whole unit in case of repair.

Any detective part which has been replaced, shall be Samsung's property.

Under no circumstances is Samsung liable for loss directly or indirectly for any of the following:

a) third-party claims against you for losses or damages.

b) loss or damage to your records, information or data;

c) economic consequential damages including lost profits.

Customer should backup his/her own hard disk contents of his/her own accord before repair. Samsung shall not provide hard disk backup service.

In case of repair, hard disk content may be destroyed and customer will not be informed in advance. Samsung shall not be liable for any data, records or program lost due to repair.

Samsung shall only honor the warranty card issued by Samsung.

No warranty card or supplementary copy will be issued in case of damage or lost. Samsung reserves the right to charge the customer for new issue.

In case of warranty service required overseas, customer is responsible to deliver the computer to Samsung Service Centre in Hong Kong on his/her own account. Samsung shall be responsible for delivering the computer back to customer, after repair, by courier services, excluding any duties, taxes or levies.

 

(Notebook China Warranty)

Registration for the carry-in warranty(China) service

If you, the customer, want to enjoy the benefits of the One-Year carry-in warranty(China) service, you must bring the documents listed below to the Samsung Imagine shop or the Customer Service Center in Macau for warranty registration .

a) Original purchase invoice (Bought on or after July 21st 2007)

b) The completed International Product Warranty Card

c) The completed Product Warranty Card (China) *

Warranty(China) service

If you are a Hong Kong customer wishing to utilize the benefits of the warranty(China) service, you must go to a Customer Service Center that has been approved domestically and show the two documents listed below:

a) China Warranty Card (Red)

b) Original purchase invoice

 

(Notebook Global Warranty)

The warranty card should be fully completed and returned to Samsung within 14 days commencing from the dale of purchase. Samsung provides one year free carry-in repair service, including parts and labor for the computer.

Global Warranty System (GWS)
Warranty Repair Service will be provided by samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. as required during Warranty period.

Global Warranty Policy

a) The GWS service only applies to the global Samsung appointed service center (ASC) district.

b) Only products that are subject to GWS, and are within the guarantee period apply.

c) When the mobile PC is damaged (outside of the region purchased), please contact and receive repair services from the local SAMSUNG appointed service center (ASC). Since the repair methods may be different for products purchased locally, please check with the local ASC.

d) Consultations made locally (outside of the region purchased) can be given in the local language.

e) Whether a product can or cannot be fixed will be determined after a thorough examination, and the damaged product may not be repaired to its original state, as circumstances may dictate.

f) When a product cannot be repaired locally (outside of the region purchased) please contact the national SAMSUNG appointed service center for further enquiries.

g) If only warranty provided under GWS is repair where reasonably praticable, replacement or credit is not supported under this scheme.

h. The lenght of time needed to obtain spare parts may depend on the type of part, and in some cases may not be replaceable.

i) Accessories (such as the battery) or the AC cable, are excluded from the warranty.

j) The User's Guide, drivers, and the operating system will not be provided and are not purchasable locally (outside of the region purchased).

k) Software and operation system consultation and repair services will not be provided. When moving abroad (outside of the region purchased), please ensure that the Recovery CD, Software CD, and the User's Guide are taken along as well.

l) All costs arising from customs duties when moving abroad (outside of the region purchased) are the user's responsibility.

m) Malfuntions and damages caused by the user's abuse and neglect, or through other circumstances such as fire, earthquakes, floods, lightning, natural disasters, environmental pollution, and abnormal electricity currents will not be covered by the warranty. All other circumstances are subject to conditions in the warranty.

when warranty service is rendered. Service fee will be charged if any one of the documents cannot be produced. Within the warranty period. Samsung will repair or replace parts that are damaged under normal use (by the judgement of Samsung) at no additional charge.

(a) any unauthorized repair or modification has been carried out on the unit, or

Under no circumstances will Samsung be liable for any consequential damages caused in relation to the use of this product.

MP3 Player/Voice Pen

The warranty card should be fully completed and returned to Samsung within 14 days commencing from the dale of purchase.

Samsung provides one year free carry-in repair service, including parts and labor for the computer.

Samsung Electronics H.K. Co. LTD (hereinafter called Samsung) provides one year limited warranty for this product commencing from the date of purchase.

Customer must present the original Warranty Card together with original purchase invoice to Samsung's technician for verification when warranty service is rendered. Service fee will be charged if any one of the documents cannot be produced.

Within the warranty period, Samsung will repair or replace parts that are damaged under normal use (by the judgement of Samsung) at no additional charge.

This warranty covers hardware only. Accessories such as connection cables, the CD, floppy disks and earphones are excluded in the warranty.

All the replaced parts will become the property of Samsung.

Any cost of transportation is on the account of purchaser.

Free guarantee service will not be provided to the said equipment if

(a) any unauthorized repair or modification has been carried out on the unit, or

(b) it has been damaged through misuse, negligence, accident, insects or natural calamities, or

(c) it has been installed, maintained or operated otherwise than in accordance with the instructions .

Under no circumstances will Samsung be liable for any consequential damages caused in relation to the use of this product.

Warranty service is valid in Hong Kong only.

 

Other AV & Homecare Products

1. The warranty card should be fully completed and returned to Samsung within 14 days commencing from the dale of purchase.

2. Samsung provides one year free carry-in repair service, including parts and labor for the computer.

3. For any defect, in the judgment of our technicians, caused under normal usage, SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS HK CO. LTD. is responsible for repairing and replacing parts free of charge within the first year (For Refrigerator which purchased after 2003 March C 3 years. For Air Conditioner and Washing Machine which purchased after 2003 March C 2 years. ) free warranty period (except accessories and some parts). Any replaced defective parts will become the Company's property.

4. The compressor parts of refrigerator are warranted for five years.

5. The following parts are warranted for six months only :

(i) VIDEO HEAD for VCR and CAMCORDER etc.

(ii) AUDIO HEAD for HI-FI etc.

(iii) LASER PICK UP for LASER DISC PLAYER, VCD, CD & DVD PLAYER etc.

6. In the case of (3) i, ii and iii, should servicing be requested after the six months warranty period, only cost of the above items will be charged and no service labour charge is requested. However, products for commercial use will not be covered by this arrangement.

7. Free warranty service does not cover the following items :

(a) Cleaning of air conditioners (The cleaning work required for air conditioner with abnormal operation, poor performance or unpleasant smell due to operating under dusty or polluted environment).

(b) Water pipe or hose extension and replacement of faucet of washing machine.

(c) Renewal and replacement of cabinet, chassis, front panel, cosmetic items and accessories.

(d) Dismantling, removal and re-installation of any repairing product installed at a location higher than 7 ft. (from the floor), or at any difficult working place.

(e) Re-installation, removal, relocation or transportation of the product.

8. Company will not be liable for any problem, damage or loss due to improper installation of the air conditioner not installed by our company.

9. This warranty is invalid in the following cases :

(a) If the product has been damaged out of misuse, negligence, accident and natural disaster.

(b) If the product has been repaired, modified by persons other than SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS HK CO. LTD.

(c) If the serial number has been altered, effaced and/or removed.

(d) Fail to follow the installation instructions provided.

(e) Machines for commercial use.

10. The company will not be liable for any loss directly or indirectly caused from breakdown of the equipment.

11. For small or portable appliance, customer will be required to bring the product to and from our service centre whenever service is required.

12. This warranty is applicable in Hong Kong area.

13. For outlying islands service, travelling fee will be charged and in the case workshop service is needed, customer will be responsible for the back and forth of the products to and from our service centre.

14. Please keep and present this warranty card together with the official purchase invoice to our technicians for inspection during each service.

15. Samsung accepts goods exchange for more than three dead pixels found on the LED TV / LCD TV / Plasma TV panel within seven days from date of purchase. Samsung reserves the right to make the final decision.

 

Laser Printer

The warranty card should be fully completed and returned to Samsung within 14 days commencing from the date of purchase.

Samsung provides one year local on-site repair service, including parts and labour for the Printer.

Customer must present the original Warranty Card together with original purchase invoice to Samsung's technician for verification when warranty service is rendered. Service fee will be charged if any one of the documents cannot be produced.

This warranty covers hardware only. Accessories such as Toner, Cartridge, Drum Cartridge, Waste Toner Tank, ITB Unit are excluded in the warranty.

Samsung does not provide warranty for any preloaded or bundled software. Samsung reserves all rights to make the final judgement on evaluating the malfunction or breakdown of the Printer caused from software or hardware.

Samsung is not obligated to re-install preloaded software. Handling fee will be charged for the request of re-installation service.

The warranty service is offered to the Printer which has defect caused under normal use, in the judgement of Samsung's technician. The warranty is null and void under the following circumstances :

(a) if the Printer has been damaged through abuse, misuse, negligence (such as bumping, wetting), fault voltage supply, air/water pollution accidents and natural calamities;

Samsung Electronics H.K. Co. LTD (hereinafter called Samsung) provides six months to one year limited warranty for this product commencing from the date of purchase.

(warranty period should refer to the mentioned period on the warranty card, the warranty period of MP3 accessories is from six months to 1 year individually)

Customer must present the original Warranty Card together with original purchase invoice to Samsung's technician for verification when warranty service is rendered. Service fee will be charged if any one of the documents cannot be produced.

Within the warranty period, Samsung will repair or replace parts that are damaged under normal use (by the judgement of Samsung) at no additional charge

All the replaced parts will become the property of Samsung.

Mobile Phones

Please note that the following terms and conditions must be carefully read prior to the signing of this receipt:

1. During the warranty period, the handsets shall subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement be repaired free of charge.
2. During the warranty period, no free of charge repair service shall be provided in the event of violation of terms and conditions in this Agreement, such as self-repairs, exposure to water, damage caused by misuse, alteration, failure to comply with product manual, etc. In this case repair charges shall be separately quoted by the repair service center or no repairs service will be provided.
3. All spare parts changed in handsets serviced by the repair service center shall be covered by one month from the date when the repairs are completed free warranty service (limited to same defect not caused by the user).
4. All spare parts changed are non-refundable. All Data stored in handsets* may be lost or deleted after the repair and thus should be properly backup by the customers beforehand.
5. Under normal circumstances, accessories, such as battery, SIM card, etc. shall not be kept by the repair service center.
6. This repair service center shall not be responsible for any delay caused by the failure of communication with the customers. Customers please leave valid contact numbers in our records.
7. Customers shall collect their handsets within three months after being notified by repair service centers. Otherwise, we shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to their handsets that left unclaimed after three months. If the products are not collected within 6 months from such notifications, the service centers shall have the right to dispose of the products at its own discretion and without any compensation.
8. The service order should be kept as proof for collection of handsets. In the case of loss of receipt and handsets being taken by others, it is not the responsibility of repair service centers. If no original receipt is provided, the service center shall have the right to refuse delivery of the products.
9. For handsets with invisible defects, if customers request to take back their handsets after inspection and repair quotation is made, the repair service center may not be able to restore the handsets back to the original defective status (including handset frame, function and original defects).
10. For handsets not covered by warranty, if customers are found to have violated the terms and conditions of the Repair Service Agreement (such as self-repairs, exposure to water, damage caused by misuse, etc.), no fixed charge repair service shall be given and separate quotation for defects in question shall be applied.
11. The service center shall have the right not to provide any written or oral report in relation to the repairing services or the defects of the products.
