How Do You Switch Video Sources?

Last Update date : 2012.01.10

Depending on the model LCD TV you have, there are two ways to change the video source:

•  Through the on-screen menu.

•  Through the TV/Video or Source button on your remote

Your TV could provide either the on-screen method only, or both the on-screen method and remote method. Instructions for both methods are below.

Important: In many cases, you must turn on the source first before you select it for viewing. If you select a source before you turn it on, your TV might not "see" it, and consequently won't let you select it.

Changing the Source Using the On-Screen Menu

To use the on-screen menu of your LCD TV to go to change video sources, follow these steps:

1.  Turn on your TV.

2.  Press the Menu button on your remote. The Main Menu appears.

3.  Select Input, and then press the Enter button. The Input menu appears.

4.  Select Source List, and then press the Enter button.

5.  Press the Up or Down arrow button on your remote to select the signal source, and then press the Enter button on your remote.

6.  Press the Exit button on your remote to exit.

Changing the Source Using the Remote

To use your remote to change the video source, follow these steps:

1.  Turn on your TV.

2.  Press the TV/Video or Source button. The current source appears on the TV screen.

3.  Press the TV/Video or Source button repeatedly to cycle through the available sources. Stop when you reach the source you want.
