How do I connect my PC to my Samsung mobile device using Kies?

Please follow the simple steps below: 

 

1. CONNECT TO KIES

 

Connect your device to Kies using the USB data cable or Kies via Wi-Fi.

2. CONNECT VIA USB CABLE

 

Most Samsung smartphones and tablets can connect to Kies using the data cable that came with the device.

 

a. Connect the USB cable to a compatible USB port on your computer.

 

b. Connect the USB cable to your Samsung device.

 

c. Allow your computer to install any required drivers for your device. If the drivers do not install automatically, you may need to download and install them from the Samsung Support site. Find your product in the list and click Manuals & Downloads. Click Software and download the Device USB Driver.

 

d. Open the Kies application and allow Kies to make the connection. When you are successfully connected to the device, Kies will display the following page.

 

 

3. KIES VIA WI-FI

 

Certain Samsung devices support the Kies via Wi-Fi feature. You can connect your device to Kies on your computer via Wi-Fi when both the device and the computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Note: Not all Kies features are available when you connect to Kies via Wi-Fi.

 

To connect to Kies via Wi-Fi on supported devices:

a. Connect both the device and the computer to the same Wi-Fi network.

b. Open the Kies application on your computer.

c. Touch Menu > Settings > Connections > Kies via Wi-Fi 123 on your device.

d. If necessary, review the Attention message and touch OK.

e. Touch your computer's name in the list of available devices.

f. Enter the passkey provided by your device in the Wi-Fi connection request window on your computer and click OK.
