Android 5.0 Lollipop: I cannot change the sound to “Mute” in quick settings panel. How can I do that?

Last Update date : 2015.10.29

With the introduction of Android OS 5.0, the interruption function is added and the concept of controlling ringing and notification has changed. Now if you don’t want to be interrupted by phone call ringing or SMS notification sound, please change the Interruption setting to: “Only allow priority interruptions or “Do not interrupt"

1. Tap Apps

2. Tap Settings

3. Tap Sound and notifications

4. Tap Interruptions

5. Tap the “On receiving calls and notifications”

6. Select the “Only allow priority interruptions or “Do not interrupt"

Interruptionssetting can be changed in quick panel, too.

1. Swipe the screen downward with 1 finger from notification bar

2. Tap 2

3. Tap Interruptions and make your selection
