Why Is My LCD TV Humming?

Last Update date : 2012.01.10

In general, LCD TVs do not hum. Some minor sound, however, is not unusual. Expansion/ contraction noises can be heard occasionally, and are the most common noises heard.

Plasma TVs, on the other hand, normally do hum, though usually the hum is so soft that it is unnoticeable, or noticeable only when you are very close to the TV.

If your LCD TV is humming, the cause may be service related or it may not. To have your issue diagnosed, please call Samsung Customer Care
