Step 1. Preparing a USB Memory Drive

1. Download the latest firmware from Samsung.com (e.g.: File Name: T-ASTDHK.exe)
   and unzip the file into a new folder (e.g.: T-ASTDHK).

Step 2. Firmware Update with the USB Memory Drive

1. Turn the TV on and then insert the USB Drive into WISELINK (USB) port on the
   side of the TV.
2. If WISELINK message appears on the screen, select "NO" and press "Enter"
   button on the remote control.
3. Press the "Menu" button on the remote control.
4. Go to "Setup" and "SW Upgrade", then press the "Enter" button.
5. Select "BY USB", then press the "Enter" button.
6. The TV will begin scanning the USB Memory Drive.
7. A message will appear asking if you want to perform the firmware update. Select
   "OK" and then press the "Enter" button on the remote control.
8. The firmware update will start. This should take 3 min to 5 min.
   • DO NOT disconnect the USB drive during this setup
   • DO NOT unplug the power cable or turn the TV off
9. After completing the firmware update, the TV will turn off in 3 seconds and turn
   back on.
10. It is safe to remove the USB Memory Drive after the TV turns on.

Step 3. How to check the firmware version

1. Press the "Menu" button on your remote control.
2. Go to "Setup". On the "Setup" menu, select "SW upgrade".
3. Press the "Info" button on your remote control. The firmware version appears at
   the bottom of the screen.
   TV F/W Version (e.g.): 1002.3
   

Firmware upgrade error message

1. If the USB Memory Drive was not inserted into WISELINK port.
2. If the firmware was not loaded on the USB Memory Drive.
3. While update is in prograss, please do not pull the USB Memort Drive out or
   do not unplug the power cable.
