Recycling Batteries Responsibly

  • The European Directive on Batteries and Accumulators aims to minimise the impact of batteries on the environment and encourage the recovery of the materials they contain. In the UK, regulations on the recycling of batteries and accumulators (rechargeable batteries) were Introduced in 2009. The Waste Batteries Regulations aim to significantly increase UK collection and recycling of used portable batteries from 3% in 2007 to 25% by 2012, rising to at least 45% in 2016.

  • The battery symbol on a product or on its packaging indicates that the product must not be disposed of with general household waste. Instead, it is the consumer’s responsibility to dispose of their waste batteries at a designated collection point so that they can be recycled. The separate collection and recycling of batteries at the time of dispo sal will help to conserve natural resources and ensure that they are recycled in a manner that protects human health and the environment. A comprehensive list of battery recycling centres can be obtained from: www.recycle-more.co.uk

  • All Samsung products that are subject to the Batteries Directive are compliant with the UK battery and accumulator Requirements. In accordance with national law, SAMSUNG Electronics (UK) Ltd is a member of an approved batteries producer compliance scheme. This scheme collects, treats and disposes of batteries on Samsung’s behalf.

Trapezoidal Imaging

Trapezoidal Imaging
The SonoAce X6 includes a Trapezoidal Imaging feature to expand the ultrasound field of view. It therefore creates improved visualisation of superficial structures such as glands, along with minimising blind areas in biopsy procedures. Furthermore, it facilitates examinations in parts of the anatomy where conventional imaging would deliver a more limited perspective. Using this mode enables medical professionals to obtain a comprehensive overview containing more accurate diagnostic information in a single image.

The Latest In Harmonic Imaging

The Latest In Harmonic Imaging
Harmonic Imaging is a common feature of ultrasound technology, but our innovations have taken its potential one step further. The basic theory of this technique is that it records higher frequency information, resulting in greater resolution and fewer artefacts than ever before.
Full Spectrum Imaging™ (FSI™)

Full Spectrum Imaging™ (FSI™)

Full Spectrum Imaging™ (FSI™) produces the penetration capabilities associated with lower frequencies, while still maintaining the fine pixel uniformity associated with higher frequencies. This combination consistently delivers superior quality images, even in the most challenging diagnostic circumstances. The resulting clarity delivers improvements in accuracy and efficiency for greater confidence in diagnostic procedures.
Speckle Reduction Filter™ (SRF™)

Speckle Reduction Filter™ (SRF™)

Speckle Reduction Filter™ (SRF™) improves scan quality by reducing or eliminating the unnecessary echoes from ultrasound images. Flexibility is enhanced via the user's ability to select the degree to which the reduction is implemented, enabling greater control of the process.

The QuickScan™ feature has been designed to maximise workflow efficiency by automatically optimising key imaging parameters at the touch of a button. The resulting increase in efficiency allows establishments to offer patients an improved service with faster and more accurate diagnosis. This reliable and safe system helps clinics or hospitals deliver a superior patient experience.
