[Windows 8] I would like to know how to configure the BIOS when the computer fails to boot.

Last Update date :2017.04.19

If the computer is frozen and displays only the Samsung logo without the

Windows booting progress bar, a problem may have occurred before

the booting sequence reached Windows 8.

An error may occur while initializing the hardware devices before the Windows

boot step has been reached. In this case, you can solve the problem by

removing some of the devices or initializing the BIOS.

If the boot failure continues even after the procedures below have been completed,

it may indicate that there is a hardware problem.

First, remove all connected devices.

For a desktop or all-in-one PC, remove all devices except for the

keyboard and mouse.

Press and hold the power button on the frozen computer for 4

seconds to turn the computer off by force.

Press the power button of the computer and then press the F2 button

3-4 times to enter the BIOS Setup.

In the BIOS Setup screen, press the F9 key to initialize the BIOS settings.

Press the F10 key in the BIOS Setup screen to save the changes and

exit the BIOS Setup.

Check if the computer boots up normally.

If it boots up, the problem has been fixed.
