When enabling the ultra power saving mode of Galaxy S5, I know it extend standby time and reduce battery consumption. But, even though setting the ultra power saving mode, max standby time of Galaxy S5 may be more shorter than existing device’s normal mode. What is the problem?

Last Update date : 2017.04.19

As you know, when enabling the ultra power saving mode of Galaxy S5, its estimated

max. standby time is about 300hours(12.5days) and Galaxy S4’s standby time in normal

mode is about 320hours.

But, it’s basically difference in condition of each time measurement.

Standby time of existing devices express the time taken for the battery to fully discharge

if the device is not used under minimum battery use environment.

In the case of estimated max. standby time of ultra power saving mode, it express the time

when more real use environment like weak signal, frequent check of network messages,

frequent event reception are reflected.
