What is Talkback service in Ice cream sandwich/ Jelly Bean 4.1 for Samsung Devices?
Samsung devices operating under Android platform of Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 and Jelly Bean 4.1 comes with Talkback services which are designed to help people with low vision.
Its an effort from Android Operating system to improve the accessibility services in smartphones making them equally usable by a user with low -vision. Following are few features :
● It reads out whatever buttons you use in your phone.
● It tells you your location in the phone.
One can change the settings of talkback services as per their comfort. Few of the below mentioned features are available :
● Assign specific sounds.
● One can use proximity sensor.
● Assign vibration patterns.
To go to Accessibility, please check the following:
a). Click on Apps as shown below :
b). Click on settings as shown :
c) Go to Accessibility
d). Following screen appears .
Now, click on Talkback option as shown below :
e). Click on settings and Now, One can pick and choose from the following set of options provided to set up Talkback service in your device.
f). Once done, drag the slider to the right to turn-On Talkback and the following message appears.
Click OK and now your device is enabled with Talk back service.
NOTE : This feature is integrated with devices operating in Ice Cream Sandwich Or Jelly Bean 4.1 and ahead. Devices using old firmware can download Talkback app from Google Play Store if compatible.
