When I try to play back UHD videos via screen mirroring on TV from Galaxy Note3, the device shows an error message “Video unable to playback, try MHL cable instead”. What should I do – is my device faulty?

Last Update date :2017.04.19

Your Galaxy Note 3 device is not faulty. The Galaxy Note3 supports playback of

UHD (3840 x 2160)  resolution videos, but it is not able to support simultaneously

the playback of UHD video with screen mirroring.

(When NOT screen mirroring, *Galaxy Note3 can support playing of UHD video ,

but it will support the FHD (1080P) 60fps playback with screen mirroring)

If you want to play back UHD video files via screen mirroring on a TV, video

should be downsized from UHD to FHD (1920 x 1080) i.e. please use an MHL cable.
