What do I need to do when I cannot run New PC Studio after I installed it and the window for the user account creation disappeared?

[Solution]

Follow the steps below, when the error, “An error occurred while installing assembly components. HRESULT:0x8007054F" occurs, while installing New PC Studio.

1) Check if the installed security updates for Windows are the latest available.

Go to Start > Run Windows Update (may require rebooting the PC)

2) Check if Windows Update items are successfully installed.

    -   XP: Go to Start > Windows Update > Review your update history, and check if each item's installation has "succeeded"

-   Vista: Go to Start > Windows Update > View update history, and check if each item's installation has "succeeded"

-   If the status of an update item is "failed," there is a problem with Windows.

3) Execute the two commands as below and reboot your PC.

-   Go to Start > Run, and enter msiexec /qn /x {35343FF7-939B-401A-87B3-FF90A5123D88} and click OK.

-   Go to Start > Run, and enter msiexec /qn /x {2AEBE10C-D819-4EBF-BC60-03BF2327D340} and click OK.

-   Restart the PC.

4) Close unnecessary processes.

    -   Before downloading and installing msxml.msi, end all unnecessary processes currently running.

    -  If you are not sure which ones are unnecessary processes, download and install msxml.msi in the Safe Mode. (Downloading msxml.msi is explained in the following.)

5) Download and install msxml.msi from the site below and restart your computer.

6) Check if files related to msxml exist in your computer.

    -   Check if the following three files, msxml4.dll, msxml4a.dll and msxml4r.dll are all in the folder, C:\Windows\System32.

    -  If msxml has been successfully installed, those files should exist in that folder.

7) Register the msxml file.

    -   If there is msxml4.dll: Go to Start > Run, and enter Regsvr32 msxml4.dll and click OK.

    -   If there is msxml5.dll: Go to Start > Run, and enter Regsvr32 msxml5.dll and click OK.

    -   If there is msxml6.dll: Go to Start > Run, and enter Regsvr32 msxml6.dll and click OK.

If a message saying that registration is successfully complete appears, the task was successful.

8) Reinstall NPS.
