Samsung Electronics, the global leader in digital technology, recently hosted its ‘Middle East Colour Television’ convention in Dubai, UAE for its regional business partners. The one-day convention was attended by 75 distributors and major dealers of Samsung’s Audio Visual division, and proved to be a valuable platform for the company to showcase its line-up of upcoming colour televisions including superior plasma displays and discuss the company’s ambitious growth plans for the region.
Speaking at the convention, Mr. Ashraf Sajid, Sales and Marketing Manager, Samsung Gulf Electronics said: “Conventions are an integral part of our growth strategy and provide us with an ideal platform to share the company’s vision and growth plans with our core external team – our distributors and dealers. As our distribution community is closely connected with customers here, it also helps us to understand customer perception and gauge the market success of our products.”
As a committed market leader, Samsung’s consistent launch of first-of-kind colour televisions have served to enhance the digital entertainment benchmark in the region. Samsung was the first to introduce an extensive line-up of flat-panel displays – LCD and plasma TVs – for consumer in Middle East. The company was also the first to launch 3-panel LCD Projection TV, making it easier for consumers to move from cathode ray tube (CRT) to digital technology.
“Samsung Electronics is committed to the development of the colour television industry in Middle East, which is one of the fast growing markets in the world. The large size of our distribution network is an indication of the growing adoption of digital technology in the region, and conventions like this will help us capitalise on this growth opportunity,” concluded Mr. Sajid.
