Samsung Electronics, the number two mobile phone company in Middle East and globally, today announced that it plans to launch its first megapixel camera mobile phone for consumers in Iran. Samsung's new phone, the SGH-P730, comes in an innovative twist-and-flip design with a heavy imaging focus, including a high-resolution video recording option complete with digital zoom, pause controls and a movable camera, along with seven quality choices for still recording. Samsung plans to launch the SGH-P730 in the first quarter of 2005 in Iran.
“The SGH-P730 is a fun filled phone for people of all ages. It’s megapixel camera and MP3 player represents the light-hearted spirit of digital convergence. We expect this phone to become an industry-benchmark for offering consumers a completely unprecedented mobile-interactivity experience,” said Mr. Choong Ro Lee, Managing Director of Samsung Electronics Tehran Liaison office.
For visual display, the Samsung SGH-P730 phone’s main display boasts a 262K-colour TFT screen. The handset comes equipped with a personal MP3 player, 64-tone polyphonic ringtones and features a 64 MB of internal memory, including an RS MMC slot for expansion.
