[Galaxy S6 Edge +] When playing video on my device, there appears to be some distortion on the edge of the screen. Why is this?

Last Update date : 2015.09.05

The Galaxy S6 edge + supports full screen playback and therefore the curved edge may cause slight distortion to the upper and lower parts of the video. This does not affect device performance.

Additionally, a phenomenon called WAD (White Angular Dependency) may result in the colours on the edge screen appearing darker. It can also cause white colour to appear to have a green, yellow or blue tint when viewed at an angle.
