Mr. Yoon-Ho Ha took on the stewardship for Samsung Asia Pte Ltd in May 2008. Based in Singapore, Samsung Asia is the regional headquarters for all Samsung Electronics’ businesses in Southeast Asia and Oceania.
Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Ha served as the Senior Vice President of Display (Monitor business) Sales & Marketing Team in Visual Display Division. His 30-year career with Samsung has seen him managing a wide portfolio of products in different countries. Mr. Ha served as the Vice President in charge of the Regional Strategy Team responsible for devising marketing strategies for each of the world’s major regions. Some of the key positions held by Mr. Ha include President of Samsung Electronics Germany, Vice President of Samsung Electronics Italy and General Manager in charge of European colour TV sales.
Samsung Asia registered record sales of US$11.4 billion in 2007, a healthy 15 per cent increase from the previous year, and it is Mr. Ha’s priority to continue this growth momentum. The company has a staff strength of more than 7,000 in the region.
Mr. Ha graduated from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies as a Spanish major in 1978.
Mr. Kevin K. Y. Choi has been appointed Managing Director of Samsung Electronics Australia Ltd on February 2007. He is responsible for the management of the Australian and New Zealand sales subsidiaries, which also oversees sales and marketing in the Oceanic Region.
Kevin has worked for Samsung for nearly 23 years. Most recently before being promoted to Managing Director, he was Vice President of CTV Sales and marketing Division.
Before that he held various positions in Samsung Electronics Headquarter involving product planning, Projection / LCDTV worldwide marketing, global CTV sales and had spent 6 years in Europe looking after CTV R & D for the European Marketing.
Mr. Choi has a Bachelor of Science degree from Hanyang University major in Electronic Engineering. He is married with two sons and speaks fluent Korean, English and German.
