What Samsung TV and AV devices can access Apps?
Apps can be accessed from selected Samsung Smart TVs, Smart Blu-ray Players and Smart Blu-ray Home Theatre Systems which feature the Smart Hub interface. Smart Home Theatre Systems and Smart Blu-ray Players are referred to as “Smart Audio devices” in these FAQs.

Does it cost to download an App?
No. Apps are free at the point of download. You will always be notified if you are about to incur an additional charge. EG: When paying to rent a movie from the Video Hub App.
Are there a subscription charges to use certain Apps?
Yes, some apps do have subscription charges. EG: Quickflix and Spotify. You will always be notified of charges in advance.
Are there internet costs for accessing Apps?
Apps use your internet data in the same way that browsing the internet on your desktop or laptop does. Charges for data usage by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) are not included or covered. Please contact your internet service provider regarding data charges.
Where do I find Apps on my Samsung Smart TV or Smart Audio device?
Apps can be accessed from the Apps panel in Smart Hub. Follow these steps:

1. Check that your device is able to access Apps

Click here to find out if your TV / AV device is able to access Apps.

2. Ensure your device is connected to the internet

A broadband connection is required to enjoy Apps. Click here to learn how to connect to the internet.

3. Enter Smart Hub and scroll to the Apps panel.

1. Click on the Smart Hub or Smart button on your TV’s remote control to bring up the Smart Hub interface.
2. Scroll to the Apps panel using the arrows on your TV remote (F series models only).
3. Enter the Samsung App Store by clicking on "Samsung Apps".
4. Search for Apps under the “What's New” or “Video” sections or type the name of the App you are looking for. Click to download.
Once download is complete the App icon will appear on the Apps Panel of Smart Hub, so you can easily access the App when you want it.
Can I access Apps while not connected to the internet? (Offline)
No. An internet connection is required to access Apps
How do I connect my Samsung Smart TV / Smart Audio device to the Internet?
There are two ways of connecting your Samsung Smart TV or Smart Audio device to your home network. You can use a physical connection (Wired) or you can use a wireless connection (only possible if your device supports wireless connectivity).

To find out if your Samsung Smart TV or Smart Audio device has wireless connectivity, check the owner’s manual or search the full model code of your device using the search box in the top right corner (EG: UA55F800AM).

1. Wired Network Connection

1. Your Samsung Smart TV or Smart Audio device will have a LAN or network port on the rear panel of the device. Connect a LAN or network cable from your home modem or router to this LAN port.
2. Using your TV remote control, select Menu → Network → Network Settings.
3. Select Start → Wired → Next. Your Samsung Smart TV or Smart Audio device will automatically detect your home's broadband connection and configure itself.

2. Wireless Network Connection

Certain Samsung Smart TV and Smart Audio devices support wireless connectivity, allowing the device to connect to your wireless home network without requiring a LAN or network cable. Your device may have “Wi-Fi built in” or you may have to purchase a separate “Wireless LAN Adapter” and attach this to the USB input of your TV.
1. If your device does not have Wi-Fi built-in, connect the Samsung Wireless LAN adapter to the USB input on your TV / AV device. (This step is not required if your device has Wi-Fi built-in).
2. Using your TV remote control, select Menu → Network → Network Settings.
3. Select Start → Wireless (General) → Next.
The TV will automatically detect wireless networks around you, including your home wireless network.
4. Select your home's wireless network from the list of options provided and enter your password. Click Next. The TV device will begin connecting to your home wireless network.
How do I check if my Samsung Smart TV or Smart Audio device is correctly connected to the internet?
It's easy. Use your TV remote control to select Menu → Network → Network Status to view if your device is correctly connected to your home broadband network.

My Samsung Smart TV / Smart Audio device is unable to detect an internet connection.
Try checking the following:
1. Is the cable connected securely from the device to your home modem or router?
2. Is your modem or router switched on?
3. Is your modem or router correctly configured?
4. If you are attempting to connect wirelessly, have you entered a correct password?
When I watch video through an App there is a delay.
Check the speed of your internet connection as you may need to allow a few minutes for your video to buffer before it starts playing. If your internet connection is fast, the buffering time may be reduced. Buffering is when your device loads enough of the content in advance so you can enjoy playback continuously.
How do I get the best streaming performance when watching video through an App?
Your TV's streaming performance is dependent on your internet connection. We recommend your compatible device has a minimum connection speed of 1.5Mbps.

The number of devices you have connected to your internet connection may also affect the speed of your broadband service. For optimal streaming performance make sure you have closed any other internet connected devices or applications that may be using up your internet bandwidth.

The quality of your broadband service may also vary at different times of the day which is internet service provider dependent.
The picture is fuzzy when I watch video through an App.
Check the speed of your internet connection as the quality of the picture will improve with faster internet connections. In addition, check the picture settings are correctly set on your TV. If the picture is dark, increase the brightness or contrast settings accordingly. If the picture is blurry, check the sharpness setting.
The sound is weak when using an App
Check that the audio setting is correctly set on your TV and that the volume is increased. If you are still experiencing problems, please contact our Samsung Care Team
