    Speak and let your TV do the rest. With voice control^, your voice is all you need to turn on and off your Samsung Smart TV, navigate menus and get to your favourite Smart Content. It's a fast, easy natural way to control your TV.

    A simple gesture^ is all it takes to access your favourite content and to control your TV. Use your hand to swipe to navigate the cursor, and grab to select. It's as smart as it is easy.

For 2012, we made improvements to Samsung Smart TV to help maximise your internet TV experience. As a start we introduced a Full Web Browser that is HTML5 and Flash compatible, so lots of content appears as it should when surfing the net.



Inputting text on a conventional Samsung TV remote control can become a thing of the past thanks to USB keyboard and mouse+ compatibility on Samsung's 2012 Smart TVs. Thanks to integrated Bluetooth on the ES8000 series, wireless Bluetooth keyboard and mouse+ devices are also supported, providing greater freedom for internet access.

Samsung recommends Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse devices for Smart TV (both sold separately).

An outstanding 3D Experience

Whether you're watching in 2D or 3D, Samsung Full HD 1080p displays picture quality that's crisp, clear, and breathtakingly life-like. It's almost as close as you can get to the real thing. The Ultra Clear Panel on the ES8000 series gives the image deep, dark blacks while the advanced dimming technology delivers detailed contrast. Put on the 3D glasses to immerse yourself in the picture. Samsung's 3D glasses use Active shutter technology that delivers a 3D experience in up to Full HD 1080p (when coupled with a 3D source such as a Samsung 3D Blu-ray player). You can also convert 2D viewing to 3D, so you can watch sports, TV shows, and all your favourite programming in immersive 3D.

Like all 2012 Samsung 3D-capable TVs, Samsung's ES8000 Series comes with two pairs of active 3D glasses that makes it easy to experience the incredible depth of 3D.

What's more, you can experience 3D immediately through Samsung's Explore3D Video on Demand service. Simply download the app from the Smart TVs Apps store and enjoy a wide range of 3D content from full-length documentaries, kids programs and music concerts*.

Whether it's Freeview|HD broadcasts in 1080 or text when web browsing, the Full High definition display on the ES8000 series delivers a crisp, sharp visual experience. Thanks to Samsung's integrated motion compensation and scanning backlight technologies, smooth motion is obtainable.

Samsung's Explore3D Video on Demand service gives you access to over one hundred 3D titles, letting you experience 3D from almost get go.* What's more, Samsung 3D TVs feature a sophisticated 3D converter that lets you convert regular 2D images into high-quality 3D images in real-time. In addition to ordinary TV programs, the 3D converter lets you convert a wide range of 2D content into 3D, such as DVDs, Blu-ray media, and even photos and movies saved onto a USB storage device.

Ultra Clear Panel

Sometimes you can't keep sunlight or house lights from shining right on your TV screen. With Samsung's Ultra Clear Panel on the ES8000 series, you can still get an amazing picture even in bright environments. Ultra Clear Panel is designed to absorb ambient light making colours vibrant while delivering deep blacks.

Micro-Dimming Ultimate

Virtually true-to-life as possible by helping to maximise the contrast between lights and darks. The proprietary technology scans the image and adjusts brightness across individual zones to deliver deep dark tones and bright whites. Micro Dimming Ultimate also helps to reduce the "halo" effect and image distortion that can happen with diffused lights. It is also capable of scanning many zones in the image resulting crystal-clear images with realistic, vivid detail and accurate colour reproduction.

Dual Core

The ES8000 series Smart TVs feature Samsung's proprietary Dual Core processor that provides performance improvements compared to a Samsung Smart TV without a Dual Core processor when browsing the web, downloading apps and allows multiple tasks to be performed at the same time, such as using an app while downloading another one.


Smart Touch Remote Control

A remote control designed specifically to complement the ES8000 series. The Smart Touch Remote Control offers features that help enhance navigation through your entertainment, settings and Smart TV features. With a microphone to further augment the voice control function, integrated touchpad, and buttons matched to key navigation functions, it's a quick and intuitive tool to get the most out of your Smart TV.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Built-In

Connecting to the internet or your home network is a breeze using the Wi-Fi function, letting you connect to the net or access content without the need for cords, cables or adapters. The Bluetooth function lets you connect to devices such as compatible wireless Bluetooth keyboards and 3D glasses, instantly transforming your TV experience.

Content across all your compatible devices

Samsung's AllShare Play** unites all your compatible wireless devices through DLNA technology so that your favourite movies, photos and music can be shared, streamed, listened and viewed on your Samsung Smart TV.

If your wireless devices support Wi-fi Direct, you can send content directly to your TV without going through your home wireless router.

Cloud sharing

AllShare Play** is Cloud capable giving you the flexibility to access and share lots of your favourite content when you're away from home. Simply upload using your Cloud-enabled device and stream and view on your Samsung Smart TV.

Never miss a program with Samsung PVR^^

Samsung's ES8000 series lets you record your favourite Freeview|HD TV programs directly to a USB storage device (sold seperately), including high capacity portable hard disk drives. Making recordings is simple thanks to Freeview's Electronic programming guide (EPG). Simply find the TV program you're interested in and push the record button on the remote control. Recordings can also be made even if the TV is on stand by, and with no tapes to re-wind and support for HD recordings, enjoying your favourite TV programs is a breeze.

Watch and listen from USB – ConnectShare™ Movie

The versatile ConnectShare™ Movie USB function lets you connect your USB storage device (sold seperately) and enjoy your favourite videos such as MKV, DivxHD and WMV files, photos or music conveniently. What's more compatible USB storage devices such as external hard disk drives are also supported.
