Samsung reveals Home Smart Home – everyday smarter living
Home that reconfigures to suit the occasion open to the public
Auckland – October 3, 2014 – Tomorrow Samsung Electronics New Zealand will reveal their Home Smart Home project, a waterside concept home that can be redesigned to adapt to any occasion.
The home, which is made up of modules that can be moved to create different occasions, will be on site at Wynyard Quarter and play host to a range of complimentary events for the New Zealand public.
Marketing Director for Samsung Electronics New Zealand, Mike Cornw
.ell, says the flexibility and clever design of Home Smart Home is reflective of Samsung’s design philosophy.
“Our lives are constantly changing, and at Samsung we believe that clever design can make life that little bit easier. This project is a culmination of efforts from New Zealand’s top architects, engineers and designers to champion that philosophy,” he says.
“Home Smart Home allows for completely different spaces to be created, with the walls, windows, floors and fittings able to be rearranged for different occasions. From October 4, members of the public will be hosting everything from a romantic dinner for two to movie nights to cocktail parties. Home Smart Home is as innovative as the Samsung appliances it houses.”
Home Smart Home will showcase Samsung’s new range of ground-breaking appliances, from the Crystal Blue Washing Machine WW9000, which does ALL the thinking for the user and which can be controlled remotely via their smartphone, to the WaterWall™ dishwasher, which revolutionises the basic technology of dishwashers for the first time in 40 years.
Samsung’s Food Showcase Refrigerator, with two layers of doors for instant access of frequently used items, and the Sparkling Water Refrigerator which offers still and sparkling straight from the door, will also be on show.
Cornwell says, “Home Smart Home is a breakthrough in modern architectural thinking and innovative engineering. We encourage the public to come down and check it out during one of our scheduled open homes – come down for a glimpse into what the future may hold for Kiwi homes!”
