Initialise or Restore the Default Settings for an APN

Restoring the default settings for an APN is often one of the options to do when the mobile fails to connect to a specific access point (Possibly because the AP’s name is wrong). To do so, follow the steps below:

 

NOTE: Depending on the Service Provider, it may be necessary to contact the corresponding customer center to verify APN values and add them to the mobile.

 

Step 1: From the Home screen, tap Apps.

Step 2: Go to Settings.

Step 3: Select More settings.

Step 4: On the Wireless and networks menu, tap Mobile networks option.

Step 5: Choose Access Point Names.

Step 6: On the APN list, select the specific APN by ticking the corresponding radio button, tap the Menu button, and then the Reset button to default option.

Step 7: Wait while the default APN settings are restored.

Step 8: A message will be displayed to confirm that the APN settings have been restored to default.
