I cannot send or receive MMS

If you cannot send or receive MMS, it is mostly caused by the following:

 

■ Restricted data access

■ Unstable network environment

■ Your device does not have the correct MMS settings.

 

To help you resolve such issues, do the following:

 

Step 1: Check if there is any data restriction set for 3G/4G/LTE data usage. Please ensure that your mobile data is switched on. If it is not, you cannot send or receive MMS. If the issue is still not resolved, proceed to the next step.

 

Step 2: Reset the data network. To do this, follow these steps:

 

                 2.1. On the Apps screen, tap Settings.

                2.2. Under Settings, tap Connections

                  2.3. Under Connection Settings, tap Data usage.

(Note: For lower Android versions, select Wireless and networks under Settings page.)

 

                2.4. Ensure that Mobile Data is turned on

                2.5. Press the Home button or keep tapping the Back button to go back to the Home screen.

 

                 2.7. On the Apps screen, tap Settings.

                 2.8. Under Settings, tap Connections.

(Note: For lower Android versions, select Wireless and networks under Settings page.)

 

                 2.9. Under Connections, tap Mobile networks.

                

               2.10. Under Mobile networks, tap Access Point Names.

                 2.11. Press the top right 'three dots icon' and tap Reset to default.

                 2.12. After tapping Reset to default, you will get the message Restoring default APN settings.

                 2.13. Wait for the mobile to compete the reset.

Step 3:  If resetting the data network did not resolve the issue, check if the SIM card is from another network.

 

Every provider has a unique APN and this is why you cannot use settings of another provider. In addition, 3G does not work if you set up the wrong APN. You have to contact your provider to confirm the correct APN. It is best to re-install the correct MMS settings.

 

If the SIM card is not from other network, restart the device. If this still does not resolve the issue, your device needs to be assessed by an authorized technician.

 

Note: You may contact your Service Provider to verify MMS configuration on your phone.
